Interior Office Space Framing For Commercial Build Out Project.
This project started off simple with 10 foot walls and a drop ceiling. But over time, the design evolved and we built walls to the ceiling. This was tough.. Check it out!

This backyard shed was custom designed from the ground up. The framing was built to meet a certain roof height, wall AC unit and a large side window. Details coming soon.
Over the past few months, I’ve been fine tuning my lean-to design. I’ve been trying to simplify the roofing in order to cut time and material costs. For this 8×8′ single slope shed, I focused on the overhang and the time I spent cutting rafters.
Every piece of woodwork was spaced evenly and staggered for the effect. It was a tough creation, but definitely rewarding. The stairwell accent will surely catch the attention of houseguests. Green seems to be popular as all of the fall colors change.
I’ve done something similar to this in the past but every accent wall has unique qualities. Dimensions and design play a big role, but the focal point is what matters.
The electric fireplace was 8 inch (“) deep and the TV mount retracted the TV to around 7 7/8”. So, I framed the 3D TV wall 8 1/8″ out. With the 1/2″ drywall, the custom build out was 8 5/8″ deep.
When you think about most homes these days, the black and white shiplap theme is everywhere. I didn’t want to mimic trends on this project. With full autonomy, I didn’t want tp follow the status quo..
Every time I open up a new packet for swing set construction, I always cringe. It’s hard not to. Companies are getting more and more lazy these days. You never know what to expect with these things.
I didn’t have a choice but to continue a half built custom design. It took a few hours to get a feel for it. Nothing was easy. Overgrown grass and busted trellis made it even more fun. Nothing beats custom decking…
Problems around entryways are a common occurrence in the Midsouth. When it rains, it pours. Leaks can come from a number of different places. On top of that, the humidity doesn’t allow moisture to escape very fast.
