About the Instructor:

My name is Jordan (JT). I’ve spent nearly 15 years working in the creative space and the last 3 years as a self-employed craftsman and problem-solver with carpentry.

These workshops are something I’ve always wanted to do as I have a passion for personal development. Course Grain is meant to be an extension of my experience — offering practical insight to professionals who advise homeowners but do not work in the trades full-time.

The focus is always clarity, structure, and practical understanding.

No. These workshops are designed to provide practical familiarity — not licensing-level instruction or contractor certification. The goal is to help advisors better understand common residential building elements so they can communicate clearly and confidently with clients and trades.

Not at all. This workshop does not replace inspections or licensed trade evaluations. It strengthens your ability to ask informed questions and interpret what you’re seeing before, during, or after inspections. It complements professional inspections — it does not compete with them.

At this time, these workshops are educational and practical in nature but are not formal CE-accredited courses. If demand supports it, CE accreditation may be explored in the future.

Yes. Private sessions can be scheduled for brokerages, agencies, or small professional groups. Format, duration, and focus areas can be tailored within reason to your team’s needs.

None. Whether you’re newly licensed or highly experienced, the workshop is designed to strengthen practical understanding in a structured, approachable way.

Workshops are educational and demonstration-based. Participants are not performing structural repairs or invasive work. Safety protocols are reviewed, and the environment is controlled. Standard participation agreements are provided prior to the session.

Clients often feel uncertain during property decisions. When an advisor can calmly explain basic building elements, terminology, and likely scenarios, it reduces anxiety and strengthens credibility. Familiarity builds confidence — and confidence builds trust.

Small groups are preferred to maintain quality and interaction. Most sessions are structured for 6–15 participants. Larger groups can be discussed if needed.

Sessions generally range from 90 minutes to 3 hours, depending on format and depth. Private sessions can be structured accordingly.

This workshop is hands-on and discussion-based. Participants see real materials, tools, and examples — not slides. The emphasis is on practical clarity, not theoretical content
